With that said, we’d like to share some of the not only powerful swords in different Animes – but those that have made an impact enough that results in almost always a win for those lucky enough to wield these weapons! Check out the list below:

Sakabato (Rurouni Kenshin)
A masterpiece created by this show’s artisan, Arai Shakkū, Kenshin Himura’s simple katana showcases its greatness essentially with both the wielder’s and the craftsman’s philosophies. Since it’s a reverse-edged sword, it really isn’t a fatal weapon!
But time and time again, this sword proves that the path of peace may just differentiate the real heroes from those wicked at heart. Truly, it’s a win that Kenshin did decide to arm himself with this sword!

Ultrahard Steel Swords (Attack on Titan)
It may seem crazy, but the best way to defeat the Titans in AoT would be using the innovative 3D Maneuver gear and a pair of Ultrahard Steel Swords. Working like an X-Acto knife, these swords have the capability to change dull blades when needed.
And it does prove to arm yourself with tons of spares – with a Titan’s tough hide (and the need to target their napes), only the most talented (Mikasa!) can make the most out of these swords! Still, it’s a win – humanity relied highly on these swords to survive!

Wadō Ichimonji (One Piece)
Roronoa Zoro may just be one of the best swordsmen in the One Piece universe. Known to be a warrior who’d use multiple blades in a fight, the sword we’ll be highlighting would be the one he has in his mouth – the Wadō Ichimonji.
Simple in design, this sword may be Zoro’s most treasured blade, mainly because this once belonged to Kuina, a close friend of his who died.
The Wadō Ichimonji’s sharpness is also due to the fact that it is a Shimotsuki Kozaburo masterpiece (and part of the 210 Wazamono line of blades). Attributed by sword expert and Marine Tashigi as one of the most powerful blades created, it’s only fitting that Zoro wields this sword!

Zangetsu (Bleach)
Swords in Bleach would normally be some of the weirdest weapons in Anime! But one that’s both weird and strong is none other than the main character’s Ichigo’s weapon, the Zangetsu.
Without spoiling too much, what makes the Zangetu a winner is its personality. You read that right: this sword does interact with Ichigo. So much so, that Zangetsu made several ways to train Ichigo to be one of the strongest warriors (no matter what world he’ll be in!)!

Like the previous entry, the Toyako Bokuto is similar in a way that it has its own unique personality. It is also outstandingly sharp – and with Gintoki’s swordsmanship, this is one really excellent weapon! But what makes it a winner in our books is the comedic aspect it brings to the show!
Spoofing Zangetsu’s looks, let us just say that the Toyako Bokuto is just amazingly bizarre! You just gotta check this show out to experience this sword’s power!

Goemon Ishikawa XIII’s sword, the Zantetsuken has proved to be an asset during the swordman’s (and his criminal buddies’) adventures. Said to be crafted out of a meteorite, this sword matches well with the often-stoic Goemon. Additionally (and considering Lupin III’s wonderful universe), it’s a win when you see the Zantetsuken slash apart cars, buses, and even entire buildings

Naruto has a diverse set of ninjas with an equally large range of weapons. In fact, there’s an entire village of swordsmen. But one memorable sword that made waves in the series is a sentient one! Considered as the most dangerous and horrifying out of all the swords in the Mist Village, Samehada has the same level of terror (or respect) of a Tailed Beast.
Living to eat chakra, Samehada rarely bonds with a ninja. With Kisame, an Akatsuki member, sharing a deep bond with the shark-like sword, the tandem was a fearsome force that can even match with the toughest shinobi of Konoha! Used in combination with Kisame’s water jutsu and Samehada’s transformation skills, it’s actually a sight to behold whenever they’re fighting. It’s a win for this, considering the awesome power (and personality) that Samehada has.

As the Rave Master’s sword, the Ten Commandments many forms (and consequently, powers), make this a weapon that can topple all sorts of situations. Primarily used by the series’ protagonist, Haru Glory, the Ten Commandments was a very reliable weapon that helped the young man conquer over the denizens of darkness.
The ten forms of the sword (namely Eisenmeteor, Explosion, Silfarion, Rune Save, Blue Crimson, Mel Force, Gravity Core, Million Suns, Sacrifar, Star Raver, and Ravelt) helped Haru and his friends survive many battles. It is a win indeed, for a sword that will suit all of your needs!

The last in our entry isn’t even a physical sword! Kuwabara of Yu Yu Hakusho may be considered as an underdog (or comic relief), but during the Dark Angel arc, this young friend of Yusuke proved his worth – mainly because of his hidden power of having a sword within. The Dimensional Spirit Sword, an upgraded form of Kuwabara’s Spirit Sword, was highly sought after by Sensui Shinobu.
Now, why would an ex-spirit detective (considered as the strongest human ever) want this sword from a “weakling” like Kuwabara? Well, the Dimensional Spirit Sword can cut anything. And in anything, this would even mean the barrier between the different worlds in this amazing series! It’s a win – for anything that can cut barriers is a fearsome weapon to behold!
